The Story Of  A Lizzard

I am very proud of the fact that I have NEVER voted for Liz Cheney. I knew that she was untrustworthy from her initial attempt to run for US Senate- which ended when she tried to purchase a resident fishing license. I don’t hold votes for her against people as I have worked hard to get people into office to have them betray those who helped get them elected, I only say that to demonstrate that in this case, I saw through her deception.

The Lizzard managed to get elected despite my protests, and immediately began playing the game in DC to advance her own power. Her rapid rise to leadership in the US House of Representatives was due to her insatiable lust for power, rather than her conservative actions. And she was NOT behaving conservatively. She rode President Trump’s coattails to power, running on her record of voting to repeal Obamacare while Obama was president- and surely would have, and did, veto any attempts to repeal that blatant violation of the US Constitution. Despite her campaign promises to repeal that horrible law, once Trump was elected, she actively blocked any attempts by real conservatives to bring repeal to the floor of the House for a vote- because Donald Trump would have signed the repeal, and America would have re-gained some liberty. As the House Majority Whip, she was in a position to bring this effort to fruition, and she actively blocked those efforts. It was her failure to act that was largely responsible for the Republican losses in the midterms that returned the Republican Party to the minority in the House- Americans don’t want symbolic votes, WE DEMAND ACTION. And Lizzard failed to provide that action.

Beyond Censure

Having censured Lizzard, it appeared that there was nothing more that the Wyoming Republican Party could do to bring her into line- the party has very limited powers, and censure is their biggest stick. However, there is a group of men in Park County who were not satisfied with “we’ve done our best.” That group is the Park County Republican Men’s Club- a group organized to provide leadership and courage in politics, and to support efforts to elect actual conservatives to positions of power and influence. As Secretary of that group, I was involved in a conversation with a couple other people trying to figure out a stronger sanction than censure. We referred to the Wyoming Constitution, and a solution presented itself.

The Wyoming Constitution, in Article 1, Section 1, states that all power belongs to the people, and citizens can change their government at any time, by any means. So we drafted a letter firing Lizzard, and presented that letter to the group at our regular meeting. The membership loved the letter, and added their input to it. After seeing the overwhelming support among the membership, I decided to make a motion- to send the letter on behalf of the Park County Republican Men’s Club. That motion passed unanimously, and the letter was signed by all of the officers and sent to Lizzard, telling her that she was no longer recognized as the Republican Representative of the PCRMC. I also moved to have the letter presented to the Park County Republican Party, and that motion passed unanimously as well.

I presented the letter to the Park County Republican Central Committee, along with a motion to send the letter on behalf of all Republicans in Park County. That motion also passed unanimously, and the letter was sent by the County chairman. Back to Carbon County, where their Central Committee had written a resolution adopting the letter on behalf of the Republicans there as well. That resolution, including the letter originating in the PCRMC, was passed by Carbon County, and 18 other counties in the following month. That lead to the Wyoming Republican Party taking up the issue, and that body also adopted the resolution- telling Lizzard that she IS FIRED and no longer will be recognized as a Republican Representative of Wyoming.

At that same meeting, a Park County resident, Nina Webber (Nina's Website), was elected as our new National Committeewoman. Having heard the overwhelming opposition to the Lizzard’s continued attacks on Wyoming, it’s residents, and the party leadership by the Lizzard, Ms. Webber used that letter to reinforce and support efforts to censure Lizzard at the National level. That effort passed, largely due to the efforts of Nina Webber, and her referencing the letter firing Lizzard that started in Park County. Censure is largely a symbolic effort, but it does do some very subtle and meaningful things. Most importantly, it demands that elected officials appear in front of the members of the party to explain their actions. The Lizzard, in her elitism and hubris, has failed to show up at ANY meeting of the Republican Party in the state of Wyoming for more than 2 years. Worse yet, she is now actively participating in the Democrat party’s unconstitutional and heinous actions attacking conservative citizens and denying then=m due process.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, Lizard proved her credentials as a Never-Trumper, not only with her words, but with her votes- votes directly in contradiction to the wishes of her constituents. She managed to win re-election due to lack of opposition in the contest. She then immediately joined the Democrats in attacking Donald Trump with blatantly false accusations, and voted to impeach him. Several conservative congressmen and women sought to remove her from her leadership position, but they were a minority, as the voters of Wyoming had just re-elected her, and they didn’t want to thwart the will of the voters. Wyoming had to make a move first.

Enter Carbon County Republican Precinct Committee. They censured her for her unconstitutional actions and for aiding the Democrats in dividing America and destroying the lives of conservative voters. Within days, several counties had followed suit, and within a month 20 counties had adopted the censure- including Park County (an effort I did my part to advance). Having been censured by almost every county, the Wyoming Republican Central Committee took up the issue, and overwhelmingly voted to censure her. This had 2 results: First, the reluctant members of the US House were given overwhelming evidence that Wyoming would support the effort to remove Lizzard from party leadership- so she was voted out of the House Minority Whip position. Secondly, it convinced Lizzard to go on TV and announce that Wyoming voters are “ignorant rednecks”, and continually insult the people of Wyoming.

Lizard’s behavior is unconscionable, and her saga has exposed many rinos in Wyoming for what they really are. While not intended, this is a result I am proud to have been instrumental in bringing about. This is the reason my yard signs bear the “rino hunter” symbol, and I am proud of that title.
